Dear donors, You may have received some disturbing news from Bangladesh. Student protests began last month demanding an end to quotas in government jobs. Clashes with the army and police have left over 200 people dead. Schools have been temporarily closed, but children are safe. (article updated 9.9.2024)

JASS boarding school children eat fresh bananas and healthy vegetables from their own fields. ADRA helped the school by investing in 2023 to purchase a pump to irrigate the vegetable garden. This project has not only promoted healthy eating habits among the children, but also educated the students about sustainable agriculture and self-sufficiency.
