Donors and sponsors

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a general regulation setting out the legal framework for the protection of personal data in the European area which, from 25th May 2018, directly lays down rules for the processing of personal data, including your rights. In the Czech legal environment, the General Regulation replaces Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on the Protection of Personal Data from 25th May 2018.

We particularly record the following personal data of our donors:

  • Name and surname
  • Contact details (email address and phone)
  • Address
  • Account number
     

We use personal data you have given to us either for recording the donations or to record an interest if someone pledges a donation. Using these data, we also process aggregate statistics to help us work further and to communicate. Thanks to the data we have been given, we can regularly inform you about how the donations are being used. They also allow us to thank you for your favour and ask you for further possible cooperation or to provide you with the information about your supported children. We do not sell either transmit your data in any way to the third parties other than contractual partners who enable us to communicate.

We perform all of the above activities on the basis of:

a) the need to fulfil the contract (if it has been concluded);

b) the necessity to comply with the legal obligation that applies to us,

c) Your consent to the fact that the data was voluntarily communicated with you in connection with donation and our activities. If we find that you are no longer in contact with us, we will exclude your data within 3 years from the last contact from the database, and only in the accounting system we record the data on donations, as required by the Accounting Act (Section 31 of Act No. 563/1991 Coll.).

Your rights:

  • You are authorized to revoke your permission for keeping your personal data at any time by e-mail to: poverenec@adra.cz.
  • You are entitled to request the deletion of your personal data entrusted to the Administrator.
  • If you believe that the Administrator or the Process Manager manages your personal data against the protection of your personal life or against the law, you have the right to ask him / her for an explanation and / or to request him / her to remove the unlawful state, to block, repair, and supplement or liquidate the personal data. You can also contact the Office for Personal Data Protection with your initiatives.
