BanglaKids 2025: Hope Growing with Every Child

The year 2025 was a year of challenges for the BanglaKids program, but also one filled with joyful moments, unique events, and unforgettable encounters. Despite IT-related complications and delays in delivering materials from the children, we succeeded in increasing the number of supported children from disadvantaged families in Bangladesh.

The BanglaKids program was publicly supported by “Miss BanglaKids” Justýna Zedníková and the well-known influencer MENT. Donor Ivanka Hana Zajíčková (76) visited Bangladesh and met the girl Misty, whom she had supported for almost 20 years. We also continued working on improving internal processes and data transfer from Bangladesh. The BanglaKids team was strengthened by coordinator Vilda. Through interviews, you were able to get to know members of our team who, together with you, help Bangladeshi children on their path to a better life.

-> SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND STUDENTS <-

1,193 children, 86 orphans, and 61 university students

During 2025, we managed to increase the number of supported children in the BanglaKids program to 1,193, which is 116 more than at the end of 2024. This number includes 86 orphans and 61 university students. Thank you for making it possible, through your donations, to provide them with quality education, food, and medical care.

New schools and educational opportunities

Children from the Tongi urban school can now continue their studies in higher grades in the same locality after completing grade 5, at newly selected schools—something that was not possible before. We have also laid the groundwork for supporting a larger number of children from slum areas in Dhaka through schools supported by our partners BCSS and ADRA Bangladesh. These steps bring us great joy.

Stories that change lives

The story of Putul, an unwanted yet unbreakable girl, powerfully portrays the struggle of a child from a disadvantaged family, the sacrifices of her mother and brother, and the support of a donor that strengthens a child’s spirit and gives hope. And it is many children like her whom you help. Thank you.

The Joy Box – small gifts, great meaning

Joy was also brought to children by the Joy Box. Thanks to small contributions from donors, children received warm gifts—clothing, blankets, and basic necessities that are often a luxury for them. Thank you to everyone who took part.

A unique meeting between Ivanka and Misty

Donor Ivanka Hana Zajíčková (76) is an inspiring woman and a shining example of long-term commitment that brings real change to children in Bangladesh. She has supported the humanitarian organization ADRA throughout her life and has supported the girl Misty for nearly 20 years. Thanks to this support, Misty became a nurse with a bachelor’s degree, found employment, and continues her education. Ivanka visited her in Bangladesh, and their meeting was unforgettable. Her words, “Misty, I have loved you for twenty years,” say it all.

The BanglaKids team
In 2025, the BanglaKids team was strengthened by a young coordinator, Vilém Škuta, with a personal motto: “Don’t ask what the world needs. Do what makes you come alive, because what the world needs is people who are alive.” Through the interviews When the orphan starts to call you Daddy and Curly-Haired Accountant with Ladybirds in the Window, you were introduced to other members of our team—Kamil and Markéta. You were able to gain insight into their everyday work, which changes the lives of Bangladeshi children and touches our own lives as well.

Miss BanglaKids and promotion of the program

Public promotion of support for Bangladeshi children was helped by Justýna Zedníková, Miss Czech Republic 2023, and her partner, influencer MENT. His video I Adopted a Girl from Bangladesh has already been watched by more than 600,000 people and gained support from new donors. Similar reach was achieved by Justýna’s emotional video from her meeting with the girl Smrity. Thank you for the great support, thanks to which the needs of children are reaching the public in this way as well.

-> DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES <-

IT applications and digital innovations

In 2025, despite complications, we completed the development of an internal IT application and other digital tools that will allow us to manage BanglaKids program data more efficiently. The new systems improve communication with donors and track payments and reminders.

In 2026, we plan to transition to a new payment gateway and e-shop to make these processes faster and clearer.

Workshop and letters to children

At the end of September, we organized the second practical workshop in Dhaka for 39 colleagues, teachers, and representatives of schools involved in the program supporting disadvantaged children in Bangladesh.

We decided to discontinue general thank-you letters and focus more on writing personal letters from donors, to which children can respond directly. We believe this change will increase motivation for both children and donors.

-> THANK YOU <-

Dear donors and friends of the BanglaKids program,

Education opens the door to a better future. In Bangladesh, millions of children are still denied this opportunity today. Supporting one child may not change the course of the world, but it can fundamentally transform that child’s entire life. And that is what gives our shared effort deep meaning.

We deeply appreciate your support, love, and trust, without which this beautiful and much-needed work could not exist. Thank you!

As we enter the new year 2026, we wish you above all good health and love—because everything else, they say, can be bought, stolen (which we do not recommend), or inherited. :)
