Good morning, everyone. My name is Jorna, and I’ll be turning fifteen soon. I live in a mountainous region in eastern Bangladesh, in a small village called Khamtang Para. There are a lot of us at home—I have two older brothers and a seriously ill sister whom my mom takes care of. Since 2024, when our dad passed away, things have been pretty tough at home. My brothers work as laborers, but what they earn isn’t enough to support the whole family.  Despite everything, I haven’t lost hope and am studying hard at the AHTSS boarding school. I’m now nearing the end of ninth grade; next year I’ll be in tenth grade, and then I’ll take the SSC exams, which are the lower-level high school graduation exams. So for now, I’m seeking support for just under two years, until the summer of 2028. After that, I would, of course, like to continue my studies and become a nurse, but for now I’m focusing on this milestone.
