2014: New motorcycle

New motorbike Bajaj Discover ST 125, started to swirl the dust on the narrow roads in the mountainous terrain of the Southeast of the Bangladesh. In the remote mountain regions with narrow zigzag roads, which are too narrow for other vehicles, helps this motorcycle together with other vehicles to the teachers and students of the boarding school AHTSS. The motorcycles help with food supplying of the school, transportation of the children to the doctor and also transportation of the school staff to the town offices.

Most of the students of this school come from the tribes from rural areas of the three districts (Ranganati, Banganati, Khagrachori), with approximately 1, 6 mil. inhabitants and almost 60 % of illiteracy. The villages are situated on the hills and in the valleys. An access to the villages is usually pathway, not a paved driveway. In some cases, it takes to the students about 3 days of walking from the mountain village to the boarding-school and return to the school after holidays can be complicated. The motorcycles shorten the journey to one day. They also serve as a way of communication between teachers and parents and are priceless when somebody gets sick.
