Children will no longer fall into the water
The new wooden bridge to the Ambari school replaced the old bamboo one. It will help children safely overcome the last water channel on the way to school. In an area where almost everything is underwater for 9 months a year, this is a necessary help. We thank the donors for their investment and wish the children a firm step on the daily path to education.
The old bamboo bridge to the Ambari school served the children for several years. We were able to try it ourselves many times during our monitoring trips. Walking on it required a great deal of courage, dexterity and also caution. Fortunately, we and the donors always overcame it all right and enjoyed time with the children at the Ambari school.
However, the children "climbed" it every day, in times of drought, but also in the rain. When bamboo was slipping heavily in the wet, it sometimes happened that someone "bathed". From now on, the children have a new, beautiful, wooden, wide bridge, from which only a proper "dummy" could fall into the water.
We are really glad for the interest and help of donors who improve the living conditions of rural children at the Ambari school. Thank you!
